Helping Poor Children – Habiba Abubakar

Habiba Abubakar has provided a number of children and young people with the much-needed funds for their educational development. At the EAP Foundation, she has shepherded countless school children through the hurdles of maintaining their educational course amid financial obstacles. She has awarded a number of scholarships to young people from poor families in Nigeria.

Habiba Abubakar is the founder and owner of the Foundation for the Elderly and the Poor, which was launched in the year 2006. Since its founding more than nine years ago, she has run the nonprofit organization as a non-government organization, or, ‘NGO’. In order to ensure that the EAP Foundation remains independent and reliably available to those in need, she does not accept or solicit donations for the charitable organization.

The EAP Foundation provides shelter, food, and quality education to many individuals from poor and under-served populations in Nigeria. Habiba Abubakar believes that all children, no matter what country they live in, are Gods children, and, as such, she does whatever she can to help children in need. Having three beautiful children of her own, she is well aware of the importance of a quality education towards the growth and development of children.

Habiba Abubakar has been recognized by a myriad of institutions for her work in helping children, including media outlets and other nonprofit organizations. Habiba Abubakar has been made a Peace Ambassador to the United Nations in recognition of her tireless work at the EAP Foundation in helping children from poor families, the elderly, and other underserved populations of Nigeria.
